Fear is one of many feelings hiking heals. Even experienced instructors and avid hikers had to start somewhere. Don't break a sweat!. Our trips cater to beginners, and we provide advice and tips to help you build confidence and become a real hiker.

The weight of the backpack consists of two components: personal belongings and food. Try to limit yourself to the most necessary things for the hike, the weight of the backpack to the hiking grounds should not exceed 12 kg. To this, still add up to 4 kg of food for girls and women and about 6-7 kg for men.

Choosing the right shoes depends on the hike and season. For long hikes, durable and comfortable shoes are necessary.

If you play a musical instrument well and aren't afraid of the audience, consider bringing it along. Inform your instructor first, and avoid bulky instruments.

The first two days of a trip are usually the most difficult as your body adjusts to new demands. After that, you may experience some cramping, but it passes quickly. Each route has its complexities, but most are suitable for beginners. If you're concerned about your physical condition, consult us for help choosing a route.

Our team leader is trained in first aid and will provide topical or oral medication as needed. In severe cases, we will transport participants to the nearest village for medical attention.

Hiking is an excellent fitness activity that provides a full-body workout from head to toe, perfectly complemented by a nutritious food menu.

Charging of electronics is usually done at the camp or base. Routes or trails do not have recharge points. It is therefore advisable to take along a spare device or power banks to help recharge on the go. Mobile coverage in the mountains is also improving.

Typically, the camp boss wakes up by 6am and others at 8 am, Waking up is easier in nature, especially when the sun starts burning the tent around 7 am. There are no lights out, so people can sit by the fire talking as long as they don't disturb those sleeping.

In mountain rivers, waterfalls, streams or lakes, you can bathe and wash. Heat cold water on a fire if needed. Just 2 liters of hot water can clean a person. Bring garbage bags to collect trash and leave a clean campsite. Wet wipes can also simplify personal hygiene. The camp boss usually shares a check list for each trip, which include necessary hygiene requirement aside you personal requirements.

The Camp boss advises on meal preparation, which includes fetching water, building a fire, and cooking. In some cases, we have “bush chefs” who cook for campers and in other cases we carry enough food along. Where the camp base is close to a hotel or restaurant, we utilize their services for food preparation.

Meals vary slightly from hike to hike. Your hike instructor or Camp boss will take you through the meal menu to help you sort your preference.

We may stop every as often as the hike lead advice, usually 5-15 minutes. The group's speed is determined by the terrain, weather condition and activity level of the participants.

This occurrence is usually little to none, but should you get lost, try to stay calm, the hiking leader or instructors will teach you a sound you make, that means you need help, and if that doesn't work, our instructors are trained and know all the routes to get you back on track.
